I can’t believe it’s almost fall. It felt like August just flew by. I was very busy when it came to KDP in August and I’m excited to share this report with you. I got a lot published but it’s not what I had planned to publish. There were other things I did to improve my income with KDP that I think will have a big impact on earnings in the future.
August 2025 Income Report
In August, I sold 123 books for a total of $325.68 in royalties. I published 9 books in August. I started the month with 53 books in my bookshelf and ended the month with 62 books. My bookshelf contains 44 coloring books, 3 log books, 13 scrapbook paper pads and 2 journals. I sold 13 coloring books (59), 9 scrapbook paper pads (56) and 3 log books (8).

I spent the most I’ve ever spent on ads in August, however, my ACOS was amazingly low. I spent $53.12 and the ACOS was at 11.32%. I had 494 clicks and 42 orders. My average cost per click was just $0.11 which was the same as last month.

Total Amazon KDP Income for August 2025: $272.56
Previous Month’s Earnings
July: $247.91
June: $282.43
May: $229.27
April: $239.04
March 2025: $151.87
Overall, I’m very happy with my August numbers. In the past, August has been a very slow month in terms of sales so I’m glad that I saw an increase. It was also my 2nd highest earning month ever. I’m excited to see how much my income grows in Q4.
Edit: As soon as I hit publish, I realized I forgot to mention that I raised the prices on all of my scrapbook paper pads. That’s the reason I made more money in August, despite selling the same amount of books as July. My scrapbook paper pads were only bringing in a profit of around $2 or less. Now they make close to $5 per sale. That’s a huge increase and is on par with the profit I make from the coloring books. I don’t think it will affect sales too much either. Scrapbook paper is more of a luxury product so someone buying it isn’t going to worry over a $2-3 increase. If they like the design then they will pay more for it rather than buying a design they don’t like.
What Did I Do In August?
In August, I published 9 books – 8 coloring books and 1 scrapbook paper pad. Some of the coloring books I published are already selling. One book sold 4 times last week. What’s strange is that I didn’t think that would be a good topic for a coloring book but I published it anyways. You never know what will end up being popular. Stuff you don’t like may be what everyone else loves.
I didn’t get all of my goals done in August. The first goal was to publish 15 books but I was 6 books short. The second goal was to add A+ content to 1 journal. I didn’t even get started on that one.
Goals for September 2025
- Publish 13 fall themed scrapbook paper pads
- Publish 8 coloring books
- Add A+ content to 1 journal
These goals will be difficult to accomplish in just one month but I really want to get as many books published before the holiday shopping rush as I can. If I buckle down and get 1-2 books published a day, I’m pretty sure I can knock these goals out of the park.
The countdown to Q4 has begun. Let’s get as much done as we can in September and go into Q4 confident that we will hit all of our income goals.
