July 2025 – Amazon KDP Income Report

As I mentioned in the July income report for MOD, I’ve had no motivation since getting back from my vacation. I want to publish as many books as possible before Q4 but I can’t find it in me to actually do it. I think I’m burnt out on coloring books. I love creating them but they take a lot more time than the scrapbook paper pads. Instead of finding 12 designs like the pads, I have to find 40 designs for the coloring books. Not only do I have to find 40 designs but I have to inspect each individual design and make sure it is appropriate for the book I’m making. I have a few more coloring books to create in a specific niche I’m working on and then I think I’ll shift my focus to designing more scrapbook paper pads. I’d like to do some fall themed pads and then some evergreen topics. They don’t make as much profit as the coloring books but I can design them faster, get more uploaded and sell more of them so I think the profit will even out in the end. Anyways, here’s my July 2025 Amazon KDP Income Report.

July 2025 Income Report

In July, I sold 124 books for a total of $296.67 in royalties. I published 1 book in July. I started the month with 52 books in my bookshelf and ended the month with 53 books. My bookshelf contains 36 coloring books, 3 log books, 12 scrapbook paper pads and 2 journals. I sold 12 coloring books (54), 7 scrapbook paper pads (63) and 3 log books (7).

As far as advertising goes, I’m spending a lot of money, however, my ACOS is very good so I guess it’s worth it. I spent $48.76 and the ACOS was at 12.77%. That’s a great ACOS! I had 455 clicks and 36 orders. My average cost per click was just $0.11 which was one cent higher than last month.

July 2025 KDP Advertising

Total Amazon KDP Income for July 2025: $247.91

Previous Month’s Earnings

June: $282.43
May: $229.27
April: $239.04
March 2025: $151.87
February 2025: $203.69

My profits were a bit lower in July than they were in June. I think this is because I sold more scrapbook paper pads than I did coloring books and I make less per sale with the scrapbook paper. With the scrapbook paper, I only make $1.71 per sale but with coloring books, I make $3.15 per sale. So even though the scrapbook paper is easier to make and I sell more of it, I make far less profit per sale.

What Did I Do In July?

In July, I published 1 book. The good news is that I already sold this book 2 times in August. I have a few more books I want to create in this same niche so I’m hoping they sell just as well.

Goals for August 2025

  • Publish 15 books
  • Add A+ content to 1 journal

My first goal for August is to publish 15 books. I’m pretty sure I can get this done. I’ve got the interiors made for 4 coloring books so I just need to figure out the titles and keywords and get them published. I have 4 other coloring books in the same niche that have the covers done but I still need to create the interiors. After I get those published, I’m going to create around 7 fall themed scrapbook paper pads. I would also like to add A+ content to at least one of my non-selling journals. Hopefully that will help it start to get some sales.
