Welcome to 2026! I hope everyone had a great holiday season and I hope you made bank in Q4. I did very well but not quite as good as I was expecting. I won’t bore you with details of my personal life as I did in my December Amazon Merch report. Here is my December 2025 Amazon KDP Income Report:
December 2025 Amazon KDP Income Report
In December, I sold 202 books for a total of $637.61 in royalties. I published 0 books in December. I started the month with 62 books in my bookshelf and ended the month with 62 books. My bookshelf contains 44 coloring books, 3 log books, 13 scrapbook paper pads and 2 journals. I sold 19 coloring books (173), 7 scrapbook paper pads (16), 3 log books (12) and 1 journal (1).
I spent $52.51 in December on advertising with an ACOS of 11.74% (wow!). I had 500 clicks and 42 orders. My average cost per click continues to be just $0.11. These numbers are excellent – I spent less on advertising than I did in November and I increased my sales. I’m hoping this trend continues into the new year.

I’m very happy with these numbers but also a bit disappointed. I have more books published this year than I did last December (62 vs 33), yet I only sold 10 more books than last December (192 vs 202). I made a lot more money because I’ve increased my prices since last December but I was hoping to sell a lot more books this holiday season. I have double the amount of books published so I should have sold at least 96 more books if half of the new books sold at the same rate as the other books. I guess the only thing I can do is continue to publish more books. I’ll go into more about all of this in my year-end report that is coming out next week.

Goals for January 2026
- Publish 10 books
I’m making one goal for January and that is to publish 10 books. I already have a long list of books to publish – a lot of them have already been started on. I don’t think this goal will be too hard to accomplish – just publish less than 3 books a week and I’ll easily hit the goal well before the end of the month.
Overall, I had a great Q4. I didn’t sell as many books as I was expecting but December was still my highest earning month ever. Hopefully I can reach the $1K a month mark by summer and then it will be all uphill from there. My goal of $3k a month is in my sights and to get there, I just have to work hard at getting more books published. Keep an eye out for my 2025 year in review post coming out next week. I’ll also be posting about my 2026 goals and how I plan to reach my $3k a month goal by the end of the year.
