Happy May Day everyone! I just can’t believe how fast April flew by. The last week of March and the first week of April, I moved into a new house and the following weeks were spent deep cleaning and unpacking. Before I knew it, it was the end of the month and time for vacation! I’m typing this in the backseat of my parents’ van while driving through Atlanta (p.s. I love my phone’s wireless hotspot. I can work from anywhere!). I think you are going to be really surprised by April’s numbers so let’s get started.
April 2025 Income Report
In April 2025, I sold 136 books for a total income of $263.37. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any books published in April. That means I started and ended the month with 45 books in my bookshelf. My bookshelf contains 28 coloring books, 3 log books, 12 scrapbook paper pads and 2 journals. I sold 8 coloring books (101), 2 log books (11) and 9 scrapbook paper pads (23).
My advertising campaign did amazing last month. I spent just $24.33 and the ACOS was at a low 10.42%. That’s the perfect ACOS! I had 239 clicks and 24 orders. My average cost per click was just $0.10 which is great. I’m not sure what was different about this month vs last month but every single metric improved. I’m hoping May will continue in the right direction.

I’m back above $200 a month which makes me very happy. I hope to continue to grow my earnings through the summer and fall and I would love to reach over $1000 a month by the end of the year.
What Did I Do In April?
Nothing. I was so busy unpacking and cleaning that I didn’t have any time to work on KDP. I thought I could get a few books published by the end of the month but it just didn’t happen. I’m going to try to be more productive in May because I my earnings won’t continue to grow if I don’t continue to publish new books. It’s the only way I can hit my ultimate goal
Goals for May 2025
- Publish 15 books
- Add A+ content to 10 books
Once I get back from vacation around the 10th of the month, I should have plenty of time to work on KDP. Well, I hope I’ll have time. My new-to-me old house has a lot of projects – painting doors, replacing old outlet covers, replacing the drop ceiling in the basement, replacing the rusty shower head, removing ugly paneling & wallpaper, installing new flooring, etc. I’m going to try to take a few hours each day to work on KDP, Merch & Etsy no matter what home DIY projects I have going on. I’m pretty sure I can get 15 books published this month and I know I can get A+ content listed on 10 books.
