About

My name is Alecia (Ally) Gibson and I pay all my bills each month using the income I make online. Each month, I get money sent right to my bank account for work I did months and even years ago. If you want to live the life you dream, passive income is the way to go.

My Passive Income

I quit my job as a graphic designer for a greeting card company in 2008 and, since then, I’ve done various gigs online to make ends meet. I’ve done everything from filling out surveys, entering sweepstakes, writing articles, creating fake dating profiles and answering text messages. I currently own a portfolio of 10 websites that make between $1000 to $2000 a month from Amazon affiliates. I’m definitely under the poverty level but since I live with my parents, I don’t have too many bills to pay. My goals is to earn $5000 or more a month so I can get my own place, travel and save for the future.

My Past Experience with Passive Income

Over the past 10 years, I’ve been trying to make a living online. I got started writing articles for eHow and then started writing for InfoBarrel. I loved writing for these sites. They paid me a share of the revenue every month. I’m stilling making money from the InfoBarrel articles I wrote 5 years ago. Sadly, eHow doesn’t have a revenue sharing program anymore and InfoBarrel is a shell of what it once was.

I have also tried my hand at an Adsense. I was super impressed by the Niche Site Duel on Smart Passive Income and wanted to try to replicate Pat Flynn’s success. I started DentalHygienistPrograms.us. I used all kinds of crazy techniques to get the site to rank in Google. I think I got it up to the #5 spot for Dental Hygienist Programs and the site was making $800 a month until it was penalized by Google due to using bad backlinks. The site no longer exists. I made a lot of mistakes with that site.

After that I got into writing Squidoo lenses and was making around $500 a month when they shut down. That’s when I decided to start my own product review websites. I posted my old Squidoo lenses to my sites and I continued to post new articles every month. Three years later, I own about 10 websites with around 1000 articles posted. The sites make me a decent amount of money every month. I have been successful with passive income but I fell like I could be doing more.

Brainstorming in Motion

I was inspired by other bloggers’ success when I was first starting out and I learned so much from then. I really want to pay it forward. That’s why I decided to start BrainstormingInMotion.com. I want to help others boost their income. I know that even a few hundred dollars a month can really help a struggling family pay their bills.

I want to show you how I make a living online and I will share with you my thoughts, tips, tricks, struggles, failures and successes as I continue my passive income journey. I’m going to try to be as transparent as possible. I hope I can become an inspiration for you and motivate you to start your own passive income journey.

About the Journey

Making a passive income online isn’t about being lazy. Sure, I’m a lazy person who doesn’t want to get up each morning and go work a 9-5. However, passive income is hard work, especially in the beginning. You aren’t going to become a millionaire overnight. I’ve spent the past 8 years of my life trying to make an income online and I am nowhere near a millionaire. It is totally possible to become a millionaire from passive income in 8 years, however, you aren’t going to do it in a day, a month or even a year. It’s going to take many years of hard work.

The point is that passive income is about working hard to reap the rewards later. I’m still getting paid from the work I put in 5 years ago. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to quit your job and still get a paycheck every month for the work you did last year? That’s what passive income is all about.

I hope Brainstorming in Motion inspires you to think about your future and how to make your dreams of a passive income come true. Feel free to follow my journey by subscribing!
